Reason #46,282 I Love Bloomberg

Nov 14th, 2007 | By benwyskida | Category: Uncategorized
bloomberg1.jpgAt 8:30 this morning, city workers showed up and planted three dozen trees on my street. The tree-planting is part of a strategy to plant over a million trees citywide, reducing New York's carbon footprint and improving air quality. Last month my neighbor, who right now sees only hookers, concrete and blight through the dirty sheet he uses as a curtain, called 311 and asked if our block could get in on the program. A few weeks later? Saplings every six feet. Mike Bloomberg may be a wine-swigging abortionist who can't stop switching political parties, but this is totally awesome. He's my mayor and I love him.

  1. I love Bloomie too!

    LOVE, like, heart him.

I also love your blog! And have added it to my own blogroll. Say hello to Stirling for me if you see him in the hallway…

I admired your efforts to implement congestion pricing. I appreciated your stance on guns, on gay marriage and on immigration. I wanted some windmills. Also 311 is awesome. Two years ago we asked for trees on our street and got some within days – that meant something.  [...]

  3. [...] I called it once and then we got trees! That was [...]
