You Heard It Herre First
A bold prediction: The gloved one will return from oblivion with the big summer hit of 2008. This weekend The Washington Post reported on Michael Jackson’s “makeover” for Ebony Magazine; Jackson takes the cover of their December issue looking … not-freakish. Or not too freakish. Or freakish in context. Personally I’ve always thought Jackson was too talented not to capitalize on all the remarkable possibilities inherent in electronic music and teh internets. The Post/Ebony piece has confirmed my hope that the “Hot In Herrrre” of 2008 will be a new Michael Jackson classic for the 21st Century. As long as the herrrrre Jackson sings of doesn’t involve Neverland Ranch, global famine or elementary school, its going to be an awesome summer.
A great sidenote: The Ebony photo shoot was held in the Brooklyn Museum, two blocks from my house!!!! I’m also a member. Which means I was practically part of the shoot.
