Quartantine the Gays.
Gay people are disgusting. We’re sex-obsessed, disease-riddled, and we’re destroying the ozone layer through our extreme use of hair product. Also there totally isn’t a park in anywhere America you can walk through late at night without someone trying to give you a handjob. That’s why I am so relieved to find a Presidential candidate brave enough to stop teh insidious gays, Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. It’s true that Huckabee doesn’t want to quarantine gay people now; he wanted to do it in 1992 when we all had AIDS. But there is no reason we couldn’t.
The idea has some precedent. In the late 1980’s people wanted to tatoo all AIDS patients. They decided not to when they realized that the non-tatooed gays would find the tatooed gays so totally hot (omg!) that everyone would have had super-AIDS within hours. The best precedent may be the internment of homosexuals at Nazi concentration camps, even though this batshit crazy link I found claims that the camps were really fun for gays and were basically a big circuit party.
Still, I think it might be kind of fun to be in a big sweaty bunkhouse with all the other gays, as long as they look as hot in a blue tank top as Governor Huckabee.

Last time I checked we quarantine TB patients when they don’t get treatment and that disease is curable and rarely fatal in the US. In 92 when he made those comments there was still very little we could do to treat HIV/AIDS and there was still real concern in the medical community that HIV/AIDS would mutate and begin a pandemic on the scale of the plague. At least he has the courage to stick by what he said. I won’t vote for him and I certainly disagree with his view on Homosexuals but I can respect that he actually believes in what he says. Its too bad the only one on the Dem side that can do that is Kucinich cause I disagree with him on alot of things also.
He never mentioned sexual orientation as a qualifier for quarantine…you did. Cuba quarantined AIDS patients from 86-93 and has one of the lowest incidences of the disease in the world only beat by a couple of Middle east countries according to UN statistics. And its neighbors in the Caribbean have rates between 10-60 times as high. So it did work…May not have been humane but less than 0.1% are infected which is better than the US’s 0.6%. Gues depends on your perspective…if you think he wanted to get rid of gays then you will even if the facts show it may have saved the lives of more gay men. But don’t let facts get in the way of irrational hate.
Your facts are interesting but they are a few years late — by 1992 it was widely known that AIDS was not spread like TB in any way, and any reasonable medical calls for a quarantine had ceased. If he had said that in 1986, perhaps he could have reasonably believed that a quarantine was warranted as a precaution, but by 1992 the science and medical communities had well passed that point. so at a minimum he was misinformed and behind in his thinking.
And he didn’t directly mention sexual orientation IN THAT ANSWER. But later in the same questionaire on the same topic he described homosexuality as an aberrant and dangerous lifestyle. Technically I guess you’re right but it strains belief not to see the answers as linked.
Sometimes its too bad that he actually believes what he says: today there is a new report that Huckabee thinks encouraging safe sex is similar to encouraging people to not “drive as drunk” or telling domestic abusers to not hit “as hard,” which flies in the face of most statistics and research on preventing sexually transmitted diseases.
Like when he says we might already be in the midst of the rapture … or that the planet is 6000 years old, Huckabee has this habit of saying — and fiercely believing — things that are wrong and dangerous in a modern society.
You are both missing the point. If the Gays were given a chance, they would eat you and your entire family. Case closed.
mmmm. family.
Dear friend, i find your post, very intresting. I run a website related to porn industries, and such a information are very valuable.
[...] Last December we went out on a limb and endorsed a dark horse for President: Mike Huckabee. Why? His proposal to quarantine AIDS patients just rubbed us the right way. “This guy has a future,” Stirling told me one day while we were bashing some gays in [...]
