Bill Clinton: ‘Casino worker’s vote would count five times’
In a heated exchange with a reporter Wednesday, Bill Clinton railed angrily against the Nevada Democratic Party’s plan to set up caucus meetings in nine casinos on the Las Vegas strip. Clinton alleges that, because of these special caucuses, a casino worker’s votes would count “five times”. No effort is made to explain how he landed on this number.
A lawsuit filed by the state teacher’s union seeks to block the caucuses from going forward. The suit was filed just two days after the Culinary Union, a prominent casino worker’s union, backed Barack Obama. The state teacher’s union has backed Hillary Clinton.
