Obama wins Nevada (Wait, what? I know!)

obama_pointer.jpgClinton may have won the popular vote in Nevada, but because of some bizarre ‘Only in America’ type of shit, Obama actually won more delegates.

Today those new at-large caucus sites in Las Vegas, the ones Clinton’s supporters tried to shut down, went overwhelmingly for Clinton. (Wait, Clinton? I know. bare with me.) Naturally then, Hillary went on to win Clark County (a.k.a Las Vegas). Obama, on the other hand, won more or less the rest of the state.

Now, I’m as confused by all of this as you are, but I have developed a handy conspiracy theory. This is coming directly from my ass to your ears, so take it with a grain of salt.

In my mind, Hillary is wicked pissed about all this “Culinary Union” nonsense. What does she do? What if Hillary had her supporters from around the state flood those caucus sites in order to guarantee a Hillary victory? That would show Obama! Then, what if, while all of the Hillary people are out kicking ass on the strip, Obama’s people saunter over to their local caucus sites and vote for Obama? Since the national delegates are awarded based on the Congressional districts, Hillary gets 12 delegates and Obama gets 13. Obama wins!

Now, as someone who voted for Gore in 2000, I’m not a huge fan of winning elections based on technicalities. That being said, I do get a certain joy seeing that Obama is still beating Clinton in the delegate count.

South Carolina should be interesting.
