We have nothing to fear but … terrorists, zombies and deadly death.
Several responses come to mind when considering Hillary Clinton’s controversial new TV ad “3AM,” where she asks who we want answering the “red phone” at 3AM when the “call comes in” that our world has totes changed again or whatever. My friend Pete noted that the ad asserts Clinton is sitting there at a desk, awake and fully clothed in the middle of the night, all night, and that perhaps she is an android or tweaking on meth. Politico.com gives the best analysis I’ve found, however, and it comes surprisingly from Bill Clinton, circa 2004:
Now one of Clinton’s laws of politics is this: If one candidate’s trying to scare you and the other one’s trying to get you to think, if one candidate’s appealing to your fears and the other one’s appealing to your hopes, you better vote for the person who wants you to think and hope.
Ouch! Thanks Bill. Excuse me now while I go back to imagining me, Barack, 3AM and the red phone. Also is there still really a red phone? I figured everyone just texted, i.e. OMG! AlQ R bombing DET. j/k lol Nite HRC!
