ugh.
President Bush just vetoed a bill banning waterboarding because it would “take away one of the most valuable
tools on the war on terror.” He added: “This is no time for Congress to abandon practices that have a proven track record of keeping America safe.”
I know we’ve been all focused on eco-terrorists and Patrick Swazye and whether or not Barack Obama blew up Times Square, but can we take a moment to remember what a total asshole we have in The White House? It was literally just a few months ago when he was all “we don’t torture,” and the Geneva Conventions, which are like the only thing ever that the entire world managed to agree on, say that this is torture, but now he’s all “it’s a valuable tool.” Ugh. UGH! Sigh.
Maybe I’m missing something, or I’m just a big bleeding heart Pinko. Let’s ask the most awkwardly named but still very intelligent former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency under President Bush, Gen. Harry Soyster whether or not this shit even works to keep America “safe”. Harry?
“It produces bad intelligence. It ruins the subject, makes them useless for further interrogation. And it damages our credibility around the world.”
Can’t we just tickle the terrorists?

But how else will we beat the terrorists (that we created…)??
I know, let’s invade MORE countries! Canada looks ripe for regime change. So does Molossia.
