It’s times like these…
6:50 PM, Monday. 4/5 subway platform at Atlantic Avenue. I just heard the worst music ever. It was electric guitar and it sounded like Steely Dan, but much worse, and it echoed. There were no words. Times like these challenge our political resolve, and raise the question of whether or not the city should be managing and legislating good taste.

no effing way! - i work in park slope and i definitely heard it waiting in the station on my way home! the shit they were playing when i came through was also real heavy on the reverb (which should have been banned long ago).
maybe it’s because it’s by juliard and lincoln center, but i’m convinced the best subway music is at the 59th street/columbus circle station…
