Now I know what Florida and Michigan feel like.
Of all the days of the year, today is the hardest day to be a vegan. Today is Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry’s, or as I like to call it, “National Stirling Gets No Free Ice Cream Today Day”.
Unfortunately for me (and Florida and Michigan while we’re at it) rules are rules and it would be wrong for me to change those rules just because they no longer suit me. If I somehow could change those rules, it would be so I could splurge on a cone of Organic Chocolate Fudge Brownie. That would just be delicious wrong.
Luckily for me, and those pesky rules, I find the very idea of Ice Cream to be morally and physically repugnant. Actually maybe a cone of the Dublin Mudslide…
In spite of the fact that their business model relays heavily on the theft of pus-filled secretions from slave “animals”, we actually desperately crave kinda like Ben and Jerry’s. They more or less invented ethical entrepreneurship and they continue to seek out new earth friendly innovations for their products and retail stores.
I guess as long as your not a vegan, theirs no real reason not to head down to your local Ben and Jerry’s and hit them up for a free cone… except that pus thing. That is kinda nasty.
