Best Comment Ever

tokio hotelA few months ago I wrote a post about the awesome and heavily hair-ironed band Tokio Hotel. Much to my surprise it probably remains the most trafficked Pinko post ever, largely because many thousands of excited fans have Google Alerts set for “Tokio Hotel,” which I am glad to “ping,” as they say. I’ve actually given up on writing about politics and instead am devoting all of my free time from this day forward to somehow snapping some fleshy photos of Bill and Tom (of “Tokio Hotel”) in a shower and/or dressing room and/or locker room, since clearly it would be a web-traffic gold mine. It would also land me in jail. I should really stop blogging now.

ANYWAY, in the interests of rewarding our readers I think sometimes we should surface amazing comments; as such, I wanted to shout out to Alison Kaulitz for her awesome defense of her band and of teenage girls everywhere, who I never meant to stereotype. Accordingly, if this post leads to 20 Tokio Hotel fans signing up for our email list (upper right corner … yep … right up there!) I promise I’ll blog about Tokio Hotel once a month, and we’ll add an inexplicable yet respectful Tokio Hotel Watch to our categories. Go!

[Editors note: While we're on the subject of shamelessly generating web traffic .... RON PAUL. Ron Paul. Ron Paul's favorite band is Tokio Hotel. Ron Paul for President. RON F-ING PAUL.]

Oh: Alison’s awesome comment, after the jump:

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG <3 tokio hotel!!!!!!!!!! they are my fav band ever. i no every song by heart. I was at tokio hotel concert on feb 18 not the 19th. i went to see them at bamboozle and i have meet them!!!! they are soo sweet. bill signed 2 things for me!!!!

They are identical. you can find pictures of them morphed. like half bill and tom. it is so scary how much they look alike. Faces are the sameeee. crazy.

actually most TH fans are not goth or emo. for some reason TH fans are reeaaaaly nice. and a lot are preetty. at NYC concert and bamboozle i saw no goth/ emo people. European fans are not goth or emo at all.

BILLL IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!! half there fans only like them because of there hottness. you like there hottness first then comes the music. TOMMM is hott to, but billll wayyyyyy moreeeeeeeee hotttttttttt. he is so sexy.

and i dont havve pimples by the way. and not ugly either.
stop sterotyping TH fans as 14 teen year old ugly pimply girl with cameras. there are that type of girll in every band. bands attract all type of people. at NYC concert there was a girl behind me who was 17 (we talked for a while and she told me.) i saw no alot of girls wearing ambercrombie and hollister to. not only goth and hot topic.

  1. Ron Paul, Ron Paul, Viagra, Ron Paul ;-)

  2. Be prepared to write them monthly. *rubs hands together*

  3. I signed up : D By the way not all TH fans are as illiterate as that girl up there xD That actually made me laugh.

Anyways like Schnee said be prepared to write monthly! I’ll look forward to it!

  4. Ditto what Schnee and Serena said. Be prepared to write monthly. :D

  5. [UPDATE: Okay okay I got so many comments and emails from Tokio Hotel fans - with such speed - that I was impressed. You impressed me. So: I went to their myspace page. (See, I'm not that old.) I listened. Monsoon won me over. Also I liked all the frozen hands, closed eyes, darkness and general angst in Love Is Dead. If Tokio Hotel was an American band I still might think they were kind of cock-rocky. But since they're German I find them progressive and kind of cute instead. Tokio Hotel wins.]

    You officially rule :)

  6. oh shit we’re getting close to 20 signups! ill update everyone in the morning.

  7. “snapping some fleshy photos of Bill and Tom (of “Tokio Hotel”) in a shower and/or dressing room and/or locker room”

O_O my…hero. We are many. We can bail you out of jail :)
    These monthly updates sound snazzy.

  8. Wow, that’s some comment from Alison. Though, yes, she might be not the most literate of fans, she is certainly representative of the enthusiasm level of Tokio Hotel fans! I look forward to the monthly blogs quite a lot. You have a great sense of humour and that IS a sight for sore eyes. Plus, mad reppin’ the Bklyn power. Oh, and those fleshy photos? More than worth any potential jail time. The best of luck to you, kind sir! (P.S. I told you in February that the line at Irving Plaza was only the beginning. Amirite or amirite?)

  9. “oh shit we’re getting close to 20 signups! ill update everyone in the morning.”

I reckon you will get many more than 20. Do keep us updated on that number!

  10. If you get 80 Tokio Hotel fans to sign up will you blog about the band weekly? I remember your blog from February. I’m impressed with your inquisitive nature. Or is New York so boring that you must find out what’s going on just because you see people lining up in the street? For whatever reason you felt compelled to check that line out, I’m happy you did and look forward to those monthly blogs. :D

Oh man, this is going to be quite interesting aka amazing. <3 ^ _ ^

  12. Can’t wait for your monthly blogs. I’ll definitely chip in for that bail money too ;)

  13. I’m also looking forward to these monthly blogs. ;)

  14. I’ve singed up :D This is so awesome! Looking forward to monthly blogging^^
And just so you know, there are some “older” people in this fandom too. I’m over 20 and i know lots of people who are older. So make sure to not put out Tokio Hotel fans to be just little girls who screams their lungs out, okay?
    Thanks!
    :D

  15. I just signed up too. 20 email sign ups are nothing, Ron. You should have set the bar a little higher, like 200 or 2000. Be prepared for making a monthly Tokio Hotel blog now. This certainly will be my new favorite blog to keep an eye on, that’s for sure. I can’t wait to see what you’re going to cook.

  16. I signed up and I’m really looking forward to this!!!

  17. I just typed “Tokio Hotel Ron Paul” into Google and pinkomag came up FIRST. Like, at the top. Of the first page.

For those of us who only check the site once a day (I know), you’re gonna have to expand the Recent Comments beyond 10 so we can keep up!

  18. Just signed up! I hope you know what you’re getting yourself into (; Anyway, looking forward to the blogs!

  19. [...] biggest development, of course, was learning that using the words Tokio Hotel and Ron Paul in the same blog post is hands down the best way to generate comments, debate and web [...]

Right, you didn’t SEE anyone like that, but that must mean you didn’t see me there either.

Bill is mine! Yeah, I didn’t meet him but I am a BIG fan. I’m going to Germany this winter for them and am teaching myself German too. I did go to their signing and Bill and Tom both smiled at me and waved back to me(I lived to far away to go to the mall more then twice for wristbands).

Although, I might have connections. A member of Bill’s favorite band, Nena, is a family friend and both Bill and Nena know each other. :D

    So :P Haha! :D :D :D

    Ich liebe dich Bill!
    . . . . und Tom.

  25. Mrs. (Bill)Kaulitz

oh, and I’m going to Germany from New Jersey! :P
Someone tell me thats not love. I saw him, it was love at first sight at Bamboozle, and I didn’t know the band either, but I liked their music before I saw him, and also, I like him for his personality. His looks and talent is just a plus.
