Pinko Summer TV Preview
Jun 6th, 2008 | By Stirling | Category: Uncategorized

I've been scouring my
Entertainment Weekly Summer TV Preview recently (don't you judge me!) to find the best, newest, most Pinko-worthy shows of the season. Here is a preview of a few of the shows that all of the fashionable leftists will be filling there DVRs with this summer.
Living With Ed
Planet Green, Check local listings
Planet Green, the first 24 hour TV channel dedicated entirely to helping you be a self righteous, hybrid SUV driving, yuppie douche bag (totally my idea!) leaves a little bit to be desired in the programming category. While I applaud their effort, I'm not sure I can be totally on board with all ethanol themed episodes of
American Chopper. That being said, I consider eco-terrorist Ed Begley Jr. a personal hero. Watching a reality show where he uses a stationary bike to make toast is probably the closet I will ever get to living in his sock drawer. OMG I
totally want to live in Ed Begley Jr's sock drawer!
The Cho Show
VH1, August 21st
Margeret Cho gets her
Celebreality on in her new scripted "reality" show.
The series will touch upon all aspects of Margaret’s “anything goes” lifestyle, from the strained and awkward moments provided by her somewhat traditional Korean parents to the more irreverent and outrageous moments shared with her colorful cast of friends and colleagues.
Some of these "irreverent and outrageous moments" are said to include anal bleaching and injecting collagen into her g-spot (wait, what?!). The real question: will she be "warshing veginaze"?
Almost certainly.
Generation Kill
HBO, July 13th at 9pm
Finally the creators of
The Wire are coming back with a miniseries about the current
totally awesome war we are totally winning in The United States of Iraq. Should we expect them to be as kind to the war as they were to local government in Baltimore? I guess we'll have to watch and find out. (Oh snap!)
Note: Ben watched 20 minutes of
Swingtown last night and was oddly pleased, though disturbed by the blatant sexualization of an 11-year old boy. There was this awkward long shot of like ... shirtless boy panning down to his stomach. When even Ben is disturbed by blatant sexualization of our youth perhaps a show is
so good omg watch it just going too far.
File Under: Celebrity activism
i totally met Ed Begley I love him!
