Is there really a list?

Noticed this little item this morning:

Bush To Lift Sanctions Against North Korea
The move signals that North Korea has completed a key step in their denuclearization process. Bush might also remove the country from the infamous “Axis Of Evil” List in as little as 45 days.

There are only what … three countries on it so I never imagined it was an actual, formal, written out list. Does he keep the axis of evil on a post-it? A pottery barn chalkboard in the White House kitchen next to notes for Laura? (BUY PRETZELS.) I guess I always thought that “axis of evil” was a rhetorical flourish, and not some actual page in the President’s Trapper Keeper.

  1. The important thing is not the list, but the waiting list. Who is going to fill North Korea’s slot once they are dropped?

    I vote Holland!

  2. What sweet graphic do you suppose is on the cover of Bush’s Trapper Keeper?

  3. GI Joe obvi!

  4. LAURA: BUY PRETZELS. ha ha.

  5. It’s a Dawson’s Creek Trapper Keeper!

  6. what happened to singer/songwriter Paula Cole anyway?

  7. I think you need at least 3 countries to call it an “Axis” anyway.

The “Duo of Evil” just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Now that I think about it, WE pretty much RUN the gov’t of Iraq now, don’t we? So they’re not on the list either.

One Nation does not an Axis Make.

  8. More like a spot of evil. Is Iran the spot of evil? I can never remember who’s evil anymore…
