No, we’re not talking about The Love Guru. Although, if we had the intestinal fortitude to sit through it I’m sure we’d have some gripes there as well. No, we’re talking about John McCain’s latest internet video.

The video, which stoops lower then even the record breaking lows of the campaign ads that proceeded it, features vapid caricatures of predominately white female Obama supports. The general thrust (hehe thrust) appears to be that Obama’s supporters are a bunch of dumb bitches on the prowl for black cock. I’d usually do some kind of strikethrough joke there. But no. “Dumb bitches on the prowl for black cock” pretty much sums up the entire ad.

If that wasn’t enough, It even features a blurry shot of a man holding a heart spangled Obama campaign button shouting out “Hot chicks dig Obama!”

Its overtly sexist, pretty clearly racist and above all infantile. In short, It’s everything we’ve come to expect from the McCain Camp. I’d tell you all to see the ad but unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) the ad also contains a scene from Wayne’s World. Not the smartest move from a copyright perspective.

Not surprisingly Mike Myers’ people have told McCain’s people to pull the ad. Some rogue copies still exist online, but I would expect those to start disappearing shortly.

Then McCain’s camp will have no recourse but to release a new version of the ad that is .5 seconds shorter! That’ll show um! After that all they can do is say that “Obama’s celebrity friends are bringing their considerable resources to bear in this election” and… oh crap.

Score another one for McCain.
