huh.

Boy it sure would be nice if she knew someone in some position of authority somewhere who could maybe do something about this:

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Monday there are too few black Americans in the State Department. ”I have lamented that I can go into a meeting at the Department of State — and as a matter fact I can go into a whole day of meetings at the Department of State — and actually rarely see somebody who looks like me. And that is just not acceptable,” Rice said.

Anyone know anybody who works at the State Department?

  1. I’m just RACKING my brain here… Hmmm. This is a tough one…

  2. she must be able to call someone? someone who might care about civil rights? maybe Harriet Miers?

  3. Isn’t that what Eric is doing now?

  4. Holy Jebus. I mean, seriously. The lack of self-awareness and insight that these GOP sonsabitches exude just boggles me. Don’t even get me started on Giuliani and the RNC speeches. I was aghast.

Ben, I should say my wife was hypnotized by Palin’s speech. I was afraid! Mortally afraid! I even had to point out 2 or 3 times the blatant lies the Governor issued forth with no shame or self-consciousness.

I tell you, I have no confidence in those who govern us any longer. With a system this bad and so prone to abuse, I don’t think even Obama (cue fanfare and choir of angels) can fix it. The whole thing is rotten to the core and bound to corrupt the good intentions of even the most upright citizen. Even Secretaries of State are blind and disenfranchised!
