Tuesday listening! Green jobs, green party.

Some of you know that I produce a radio program, RadioNation with Laura Flanders. It’s a good program this week with two important interviews:

1. There is a good long discussion with Van Jones from Green for All. (at left) He lays out his theory of what “the green collar economy” could look like, and where we’re at right now in the history of environmentalism and racial justice. Van is a mentor and a friend and he lays out a very compelling case about the need for green-collar investment in response to the financial crisis. Listen

2. We haven’t talked much here about third-party candidates like Ralph Nader or Cynthia McKinney. I will try to get out my thoughts on the Nader & McKinney campaigns sometime in the next week, and I’d welcome your views as well. This week on RadioNation the Green Party Vice-Presidential candidate Rosa Clemente lays out her case for voting green. I’m not swayed but I thought it was an interesting interview. Listen

Listen here! You can listen while you work! You can also subscribe to a RadioNation with Laura Flanders podcast on itunes but make sure you pick “RadioNation with Laura Flanders” not just “RadioNation,” which is an Italian shock-jock program with explicit lyrics and Pinko wouldn’t want to offend.
