Voting with your Piehole
The merchandising of the 2008 presidential race has given voters near-infinite options for expressing their political views with their wallets. But why stop there? Instead of just wearing your politics on your sleeve, why not wear it in your gastrointestinal tract? Why consume (and inevitably expell) boring old normal food when you can literally be shitting democracy?!
The new travel site AirBedandBreakfast.com has come up with a funny way of letting people show their political views while getting needed riboflavin. They’ve just come out with Cap’n McCain’s & Obama O’s, a limited-edition cereal for “those supporters that are hungry for votes, and hungry for breakfast.”
Get it? Affordable travel… campaign…cereal? OK, we don’t entirely see the connection either, but the box art (and jingles!) are priceless.
If you prefer your breakfast to be more scalding-hot-liquidy, 7-11 has launched 7-Election 2008. 7-11 patrons are asked if they want a blue Obama coffee cup, or a red McCain cup. The results are then collected and put on a electoral college style map. At the time of publication Obama held a 59.68% to 40.32% lead over John McCain among convienience store coffee drinkers. This includes a 34 point lead in Ohio and a 20 point leads in Texas! Arizona, Utah and Kansas were all similarly blue. Montana was still too close to call. Either that or they don’t have any 7-11s in Montana.

is that Obama box racist?
Not unless you call only having three finger and a thumb racist. But then, McCain is missing a digit too…
I just realized if his name was Obamabo it would be a palindrome! I say we change it to just that and lock the palindrome enthusiast vote!
There’s a burger joint on Capitol Hill, Good Stuff Eatery, that has an “Obama Burger” and a “McCain Burger”. I was just in there yesterday; Obama is beating McCain by 405-157.
Which might say less about the partisan balance of Hill staffers who hang out there than the number of people who prefer the combination of bacon, blue cheese and horseradish over chipotle, corn salsa and jack cheese…
No MicKinney veggie burger. No Barr rare meat liberarian burger, either.
