From the gates of Hell: McCain’s latest endorsement.
Okay, so Christopher Hitchens, a GOP official from Wisconsin, Colin Powell, and 26 newspapers that had previously endorsed Bush are all going for Obama in this election, but it’s not all bad news for maverick John McCain.
He picked up a big endorsement this week from another group of mavericks with higher name recognition than any of Obama’s supporters (even Oprah! I know…crazy).
Al Qaeda has endorsed John McCain for President (and urged the death of a lot more Americans). I suppose they see him as the more likely “war without end” candidate. Or perhaps they see him as the best hope for a divided and erratic America. Either way, congrats, John. You worked hard for this endorsement.

I should also note that an Obama presidency would undermine Al Qaeda’s recruiting efforts because of his popularity around the world.
