Just thinking out loud.
If “that one” (I’m afraid to say it!) wins, and follows through on his promise to get us out of Iraq, that sort of withdrawl will be a very difficult moment in his presidency. McCain’s “victory” line hasn’t worked during the campaign but with news footage of actual troops leaving there will be very high emotions, and the right will work extremely hard to pin a “loss” on Obama. The left should be thinking already about the intense media effort and framing needed to remind America that leaving Iraq is what we want.
