I think that poll is an outlier. At least I hope so.
My entire “commune” went as the Reagan Family in 1980. I was Patti, who at the time was the rebel who posed for Playboy and smoked weed. I wore a Hollywood silver Malibu pantsuit that let my breasts fall out conveniently. A coke spoon around my neck. That and a cloud of smoke was about all I needed to achieve the look, since I already had the long brown hair.
My other mates had to work harder. I will never forget Scott Worley as Nancy. Rollins Emerson as Ronnie. All the other tortured children.

Once my college was testing locations for new streetlamps, so they had this 8 foot tall one-sided FAKE streetlamp they would stand up and photograph. I guess computer modeling wasn’t “in” yet. Anyway I stole it and went to the big halloween shindig as Fred Astaire in “Singin’ in the Rain” and danced with an 8-foot tall wood lamp all night it was awesome.
Ben B and I dressed as each other today, but people have a hard enough time telling us apart that nobody has caught on that we’re dressed up.
White guys with glasses kinda all look alike I guess.
