You probably think that’s some kind of crazy arab weapon. Like a sword or some shit. Well, it’s actually the state tree of Ohio, AKA The Ohio Buckeye. As in the Buckeye State (Ohio) just went for Obama. So I guess we’re both right?
This is a big deal since Ohio totally fucked us sideways in 2004 and is considered a “flip” as in flipping a red state to blue.
Another piece of state trivia: the deep blue state flag of the deep blue state of New York bears the word “Excelsior” which is latin for Higher or more elevated. You hear that Jersey? You may be a blue state, but that’s all we’ll give you. Don’t think we’re friends or anything.
