Apparently I was campaigning to be appointed to the Senate every Tuesday, Thursday and sometimes drunk on Saturday night at the Midtown V in Philadelphia between 2001-2005, because my campaign employed a similar strategy. NYT this weekend: 

Ms. Kennedy came to the interview with two aides, who had reserved the back room of the Lenox Hill Diner, on Lexington Avenue near 78th Street, for several interviews scheduled on Saturday.

Gothamist on Friday: 

Caroline Kennedy, whose Senate aspirations have only allowed for controlled moments with the press … has finally submitting to actual interviews. First, an interview with the Associated Press was published, just after she spoke to reporter Larry Neumeister at Tribeca diner Gee Whiz (she ordered a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich).

HuffPo last week: 

After sharing a meal of chicken, string beans, collard greens, salad and cornbread at the famed soul food restaurant Sylvias, Kennedy emerged with Sharpton at her side and answered a few questions from the pack of reporters waiting outside.

In the Gothamist/AP article link her hands actually appear slathered in yellow diner cheese, which I wish mine were right now. Does she like diners? Or do they make her “of the people.” Also? Mmmmm.
