Yesterday we were supportive of Barack Obama’s choice of CNN’s Sanjay Gupta as Surgeon General, based largely on the fact that he has extremely hairy arms and that his job, since the Clinton Administration, will consist largely of teaching me how to masturbate. But it seems that there is a good bit of criticism, (a) from Doctors who want a real Doctor (even though he’s a brain surgeon and he operated on Iraqi children when he was on assignment for CNN) and (b) from the left, who apparently found his debate with Michael Moore pretty hack-ish. Frankly I guess it comes down to how much you care for Michael Moore. I don’t like him but I do agree with him, which makes this debate on Larry King Live pretty unsettling. Though Gupta certainly looks better on a beach than Michael Moore …
