Overly Over (Almost)

I have been yelling and screaming (mostly to myself) about how ludicrous Hillary’s “popular vote” claims are. A fair estimation (Iowa, Nevada, Washington & Maine haven’t released any popular vote totals) puts Obama up by something like 44,605 votes. Granted, that’s not a terribly huge margin, but it does shoot a pretty big whole in [...]

Quick Hits: Final Judgment, Armageddon, End of Days edition

• Today in the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee will meet to decide the fate of the hundreds of billions of voters in Florida and Michigan who don’t watch TV, or read newspapers, and didn’t get the memo that their votes weren’t supposed to be counted. Unfortunately the committee can’t do anything about the estimated [...]

Why is the popular vote so unpopular?

Hillary Clinton wants you to know that she has won the popular vote. She has even gone as fas as to evoke Al Gore by saying that we Democrats should not allow an election to be snatched away from the candidate who has won the popular vote. This would be a provocative argument if it [...]

The Aftermath…

The pundits predicted Hillary would win Indiana and Obama would win North Carolina. They weren’t wrong. Obama did win N.C., and decisively, but the margin of victory in Indiana was so small that CNN refused to announce a winner until well after midnight. The final numbers have Hillary winning by less than 2%.

I Hate Tuesdays

It’s Tuesday, again. That means that the democratic nomination hangs in the balance, again. So I guess that means that I need to write something about Obama and Clinton and whatnot, again. I’m really starting to get sick of this. Anyway, here are some things to keep in mind while we wait for the eternal [...]

Too Hot For MoveOn.org

MoveOn.org took a note from Barack Obama’s positive style and requested that all submissions to their Obama in :30 competition be “positive ads about Barack Obama, not attack ads about others.”
But what fun is that?
In flagrant defiance of the rules, Misplaced Planet’s submission is more like an over the top attack on John McCain. They’ve [...]

Out of Gas II: The Revenge

Despite Ben Wyskida’s blistering indictment last night, John McCain and Hillary Clinton just will not back down from their insane “gas tax holiday”. Hillary Clinton went a step further yesterday and actually cut an attack ad blasting Barack Obama for his refusal to support what TPM’s David Kurtz is calling the “model of reactive, politically [...]

Don’t Call It a Comeback…

More like a last stand. The truth is that last night Hillary Clinton blew a 20%+ lead and ended up winning PA by approx. 8.5% (not the 10% win that has been widely reported). She is now looking at a very small net delegate gain, perhaps in the single digits. As for this absurd idea [...]

Who do y’all think has what it takes?

Morgan Spurlock, if you are reading this, I think I know the answer to the question “Where in the World Is Osama Bin Laden?”. The answer might surprise you. It turns out he’s in Hillary Clinton’s latest campaign ad, scaring all the nice white folks in Pennsylvania. See if you can spot him.

As a native [...]

The Real Debate XVI: Philadelphia

In the interest of full disclosure, I haven’t watched the debate yet. I was going to watch it last night, but I didn’t. Seriously, who schedules a debate during Top Model?
From what I’ve been reading on other sites, it sounds like I got a more intelligent discussion of the issues by watching “Real World XX: [...]
